LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER!

From TIRED and TRAPPED to a VIBRANT and HEALTHY lifestyle!

Here's my story

You may find something familiar in these words.

Sitting in my office, feeling unhealthy and unhappy, I take a rare moment to wonder. The workday is wrapping up, and I'm itching to get home—the Oscars are about to start, and I can't wait to watch. With the show constantly airing around my birthday, I start reflecting on the past year and thinking about what's happening in my life. Suddenly, I imagine myself walking down the Red Carpet at the Oscars, feeling graceful, glamorous, gleeful, genuine, and glowing. I want to feel all of that. How could I feel that way every time I walked into a room? How could I show up for life with energy and confidence every day? And then, a thought hits me

I did not feel this way at all. I felt tired, trapped, and troubled.

Not long ago, I’m working in finance in New York—long days, long commute, and zero time to care for myself.

The job is so intense that I become a “grabber!”

I grab a muffin from my weekend Costco haul every morning, not realizing it’s packed with empty calories, sugar, and unhealthy fats. Basically, I’m eating a cupcake without the frosting for breakfast, no wonder I’m dragging myself into the office. Lunch is usually fast food—McDonald’s, Taco Bell, or pizza—and I always feel like I need a nap afterward. By the afternoon, I grab a snack from the vending machine, and by the time I’m home, exhausted, I settle for cereal or leftover pizza before crashing into bed for a few hours of sleep.

I gained 40 pounds in one year!

So many things contribute to weight gain. The amount of weight I gained in the short amount of time made things seem hopeless. I was struggling with,

  • High stress,
  • long hours,
  • sitting all day,
  • eating poorly (examples of eating poorly)
  • developed anxiety from poor body image,
  • heartburn every day,
  • and I didn't fit into my clothes.

I was exhausted and sick, and my energy and confidence left along with it.

It was almost as if ...

I couldn’t take it any longer.

These burdens were NOT necessary. They just made my life toxic.

I was ready to gain back my power and lose the weight I was carrying around, both physically and emotionally.

So, I spent the next year trying to feel better. I tried the latest diets.

Did you know there are over 200 types of diets out there? I Tried them all!

- I got gym memberships but didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin or have enough energy to actually show up consistently. Then,

- I saw doctors. I spent countless hours with numerous different specialists only to be recommended pills that made me sick
You name it, and I tried it, but nothing worked.

- I was totally frustrated that I couldn’t lose the weight, but I was even more upset that I just didn’t feel good or look the way I wanted to.

I felt like I had lost my spunk.

One day, I decided enough was enough.

Driving home after another long day stuck in traffic, I start reflecting on my life.

Then, I heard a voice from within me say, "It's your time to feel good, have fun, and be yourself again. Remember when you were the happiest person you knew?"

I respond by grabbing the fat around my middle and saying, "It’s time to let this go—physically and emotionally.

I deserve to feel good, take control of my health, and live with ease, joy, and grace."

At that moment, I felt renewed, knowing I deserved to be healthy and happy.

I was ready to take a giant leap!

I became a seeker of knowledge about nutrition, psychology, and spirituality.

In a few months, I realized that I had begun to heal.

I lost 40 lbs, But I didn’t stop there. I changed my career path and opened my transformational nutrition practice in California.

So, I created what I call ‘The Confidence and Energy Cycle.’

The Confidence and Energy Cycle concentrates on the trifecta of health and wellness.

Nutrition - Exercise - Self-Care

I have always wanted that Red Carpet Debut experience.

I learned how to turn down negative self-talk and boost positivity through journaling and visualization.

True transformation happens when you take care of your body, mind, and soul.

I made a simple shift: I moved my body with purpose. I started taking 5-minute walking breaks at work and did short strength training at home. And everything started to add up.

This holistic approach is what I now teach and coach—a winning formula for living a life full of peace and positivity!

" "Maria Mizzi has been a life saver to me. Her simple shifts got the ball rolling and now I'm unstoppable! I began working with Maria and everything just started clicking. â€ȘI began taking care of myself - mind, body & soul. At times in my life, I felt like this day would never come. But I made it happen! Thank you Maria for helping me change my relationship with food." "

"Having Maria as my personal trainer was the best choice I made. A year and a half ago I found I was no longer satisfied with my body. I had gained 2 dress sizes and lost all of my tone. I have three children and with each one my body changed. I would try a new gym and never stick with it. After meeting with Maria and agreeing she would be my trainer Everything changed! She motivated me through a genuine enthusiasm to see me hit my goals. When I told her I was running my first 5k, Maria ran it with me. Maria made the difference for me, I have seen the results
and I am Hooked. Maria is an asset to anyones workout!!!"

"I trained with Maria to get back into shape and to run my first 5K. We had a blast during training and the race was a wonderful success. I never felt and looked as good as I did when I was working out with her on a regular basis. She explained what was happening with my body every step of the way and created a program specifically for my needs. I have referred her to brides who I work with in my business because I trust she will focus on their goals to look their very best on this important day. Training with Maria is not only good for your physique
but good for your spirit. She is positive and upbeat and holds my highest respect as a person and as a professional. Take one look at her and you will want to do whatever she recommends. She is a living advertisement for her profession!"
